Macc edge past Bantams
In-form Macclesfield extended their unbeaten run to five games with a 1-0 victory over Bradford.
In a game dominated by a succession of controversial decisions from referee Rob Lewis, the key moment came in the 65th minute when influential Macc midfield man Ross Draper won a penalty after a collision with Luke Oliver, even though he had appeared to have lost control of the ball.
Lewis Chalmers duly converted from the spot.
In the 19th minute the official had been far more reluctant to award a spot-kick when Draper appeared to have been clipped by goalkeeper Matt Duke, losing his momentum as his chance on an open goal went begging.
Bradford had their own penalty claims after the break when a 25-yard effort from centre-back Marcel Seip appeared to hit the arm of Matt Brown 10 yards from goal.
Macc dominated the game with Tony Diagne skimming a shot over the bar in the 15th minute and Scott Boden hitting a post soon after. Bradford did, however, nearly grab an injury-time equaliser but Oliver's header flew inches wide from eight yards.
