Reasons to be fearful!

My main concern about this game is that come 4.55 tomorrow afternoon, many of the City faithful will be drawing too much importance on the outcome of this game. Lets not get carried away, if we lose then I fear we will hear the usual wave of pessimism and if we win I'm sure we will hear that we are going to walk this league shouted from the rooftops.

Lets be honest, I think we will see a lot of goals this season. Having been mightily impressed with Clarke and Lee at the back the pair dont look as watertight as you would hope for a championship winning side. Lets face it we rode our luck against Rochdale despite a good performance from Clarke. I think the likes of Holt, Hibbert and the progressive Ben Davies will give us a little more to think about.

Judging on McCall's past away tactics I wouldnt be surprised if he treats the trip to the New Meadow with caution. I'm not saying he will go with one up front but I do feel Omar, and Colbeck will be under strict instructions to be looking over their shoulders at all times, with more concentration on helping out TJ and Hecky.

Taking the Shrews home form into consideration, they look like a team that can score for fun when given the chance. If we can hold out for the majority of the 90 minutes and then hit them with a lightning counter attack which we are more than capable of doing down the flanks, then that would be great. However, with the quality Shrewsbury possess I fear that by saturday evening City will be talking of a quick return to winning ways in the following home game against Luton. Should we lose we shouldnt be disheartened, we will play much lesser opposition than Shrewsbury this season. Thats for sure.
