Its been a frustrating start for new man Chris Brandon, and his ankle injury looks set to keep him sidelined for a further two weeks. It was hoped that the former terrier would feature for the Bantams before now, but it seems the City fans will have to wait a bit longer to see Brandon unleashed.
Expectancy was high when he arrived at Valley Parade, having been courted a number of times by City in the past. However, the situation at present means that the City faithful have yet to see him in competitive first team action.
Brandon comes from local rivals Huddersfield Town with a good reputation. The Bradford born midfielder will be chomping at the bit and looking to break into McCall's first team plans. With City's strength in depth in this area of the field though, McCall will have a decision to make that many league 2 bosses would be envious of. Brandon will have to prove how special he is to clamber over the likes of Bullock, Furman and Nix to gain a first team place.
Competition for these places will surely benefit the squad and as a result the Bantams will be hoping for no further delays to Brandon's comeback.
