The Bantams boss hasn't started waving the white flag yet or thrown in the towel. That just isn't his nature.
But after their 1-0 defeat at Preston on Saturday, even he must now admit that the writing is on the wall.
City are 11 points from safety with six games to go. Only a miracle, it seems, can save their skins as they prepare to take the plunge through the relegation trapdoor into Division Two.
Robson, however, doesn't want the team to go through the motions before the curtain comes down at the end of the league campaign.
He told the Telegraph and Argus:``I've spoken to the players and told them that the remaining games are all about entertaining our fans, especially at home, and playing for pride.''
He added:``Eleven points is a hell of a lot to catch up when games are running out. But they get paid wages as professional players so they have got to get on with the job to the best of their ability.''
