The Dutchman joins the Bantams only weeks after the club knocked the proposed move on the head.
Bantams boss Colin Todd wanted to bring the ex-Celtic midfielder to West Yorkshire earlier this summer, but gave up when the 30-year-old appeared to hesitate over the deal.
Meanwhile, City are ready to offload Kevin Sanasy as the youngster has no future at Valley Parade.
It is also reported that Tom Penford could be heading for a short-term switch. Striker Michael Symes has already teamed up with Macclesfield for the rest of the year.
