The teenage defender from Middlesbrough will arrive at Valley Parade before the big kick-off in early August.
He is expected to replace Paul Tierney who left the club last May following his loan spell. The 22-year-old former Manchester United player has since moved to Livingston.
Meanwhile Wayne Jacobs could be turning out for Halifax Town next season. The 36-year-old has recently taken up a position to work with manager Chris Wilder as his assistant at the Shay and would also be available for selection. Jacobs was freed by City in the summer.
