Windass still a City player. For the moment

While there seems little doubt he'll leave in the summer. City won't let him go cheap.

Windass has scored crucial goals for Hull City as they avoided relegation from the Championship and City Chairman Julian Rhodes does not plan on just giving hi away.

"Dean is a Bradford City player for the next two years as it stands," said Bantams chairman Julian Rhodes.

"That will remain the case until we get an acceptable offer, so everything else is irrelevant.

"If Hull want Deano they know they've got to do a deal with us. If they are that keen on him, I expect them to be in touch.

"I wouldn't be surprised if other clubs do come in, considering how well he has done there, although nothing can be done until the transfer window opens.

"But our position hasn't changed. Dean was in the club the other day and I was telling him how many goals he could score for us in League Two!"
