"They were absolutely done in' afterwards and I would expect that every game.

"We were asking players to change habits and play in a way they're not particularly used to. We wanted them to raise the tempo, pressure the opposition and keep them penned in - how you should play at home - and that requires leg work.

"It's something that over time I'm sure we will improve on and be able to produce for the full 90 minutes.

"I've not been put off at all. It's my job now to lift the players and hopefully by kick-off against Brentford we are in a better position both tactically and physically than we were at kick-off time on Saturday."

"I was absolutely delighted and the supporters were good to us all. It was nice to have a good atmosphere in the stadium.

"I was just disappointed not to get the result for them. If we had scored when we were on top of the game that would have further lifted everybody.

"The supporters were excellent for us and I hope they recognised that the players gave everything they've got. That's all you can ask, even though we had the kick in the teeth of conceding a late goal.

"It was a relegation battle before Saturday and we've got to improve the results. To do that you've got to improve performances and I thought we did that, even though the score went against us."
