Winger Omar Daley grabbed the winner with a superb right-foot volley in first-half stoppage-time to leave Taylor to concentrate on sorting out his squad.
Bradford have four loan players - Richard Eckersley, Rob Kiernan, Tom Adeyemi and Jason Price - whose loan spells end this week, and Taylor has made keeping them his priority.
Taylor said: "We definitely want to keep them. I am concentrating on keeping my loan players rather than trying to sign new players.
"This is our first double of the season against what I consider to be the best team in the league.`
