Warnock arrives just days after Law finally completed the signing of Australian midfielder Paul Reid, who joined the Bantams earlier this week.
"Stephen is very strong both physically and mentally and is very versatile," Law told the club's official website.
"Stephen can play in defence or midfield and is a welcome addition to our squad."
Warnock should make his debut for Bradford at Walsall on Saturday.
