Vale striker Marc Richards (thigh) may start after returning from a six-week absence to feature from the bench in Saturday's draw with Northampton.Midfielder Anthony Griffith should also start after being an influential substitute against the Cobblers.
Bradford will be without striker James Hanson (groin) and midfielder David Syers (hamstring).
Manager Peter Taylor is expected to recall Gareth Evans up front and on-loan Tom Adeyemi in place of Syers.
