The Bantams have not won any of their last four league matches and now lie eight points adrift of a play-off place, but McCall insisted his side deserved at least a point with skipper Zesh Rehman twice going close as the visitors pushed for an equaliser.
McCall said: "You just ask to get what you deserve. If you get beat 3-0 and deserve it then fair enough.
"But I can't ask for any more from the lads because they gave everything they have.
"We hit a post, the first minute their keeper pulls off a world-class save and ours hasn't had much to do.
"I'm not saying we deserved to win, but we certainly didn't deserve to lose. I feel for the supporters and the players because yet again the performance has merited more than we've got, and anyone here would have seen that."
