Law slams officials

Law was unhappy with the refereeing display of Graham Salisbury and his assistants in awarding a goal to Brighton when Bobby Zamora's header was disputed as being over the goal line by Bradford players.

"From where I was standing it was hard to tell, but everyone I've spoken to thought it wasn't over the line," he told the clubs official website after the game.

"Usually you can tell by a players reaction. When Bobby Zamora pulled off the far stick and headed it down he turned round as if it was nothing, next moment the linesman is flagging for a goal, which was extraordinary.

"I told the referee it was a performance I won't forget for a long time.

"It is the official's job to set a pattern for the game. He has to let players know where they stand, he didn't. In the end it was a free for all.

"Our lads are extremely upset. When players say that a referee is unapproachable it isn't right.

"A referee is there to referee a game not make sarcastic comments. In the end referee and linesman's decisions cost us.

"But there were other contributing factors. We didn't perform to the required standard. We never got the ball down in midfield, in the end we weren't bright enough until the last 30 minutes."
