Nine-goal striker Hanson missed last week's home defeat to Torquay due to a hamstring strain, while winger Ellison, on loan from Rotherham, has been sidelined for four matches with a thigh injury. Neither player is in contention for Friday's clash at Southport.
Jackson said: "They will be close for Tuesday. I think Friday will be too soon for them both.
"I think it would be asking too much of them to rush them back for Friday and then to have them involved for Tuesday."
Hanson finished the last campaign as the club's leading goalscorer in his first full season after arriving from Guiseley and is joint-top scorer this time around with David Syers on nine.
