Jackson confident for Shrimpers test

The Bantams turned in their worst display since Jackson was placed in charge until the end of the season following the departure of Peter Taylor in February, going down 3-0 on Saturday to lie six points above the relegation zone with half a dozen games remaining.

But Jackson, who hopes to have striker James Hanson back from a hamstring injury, said: "Friday is now another big game for us.

"But we've had two good wins away from home since I've been in charge, so going away from home doesn't bother me. We have to be positive and look forward to the game.

"I think James was a big miss for us, you could see that at various points in the game.

"He would be a big miss for most sides, but especially for a side like us who have been struggling for goals this season."
