Taylor told BBC Radio Leeds: "I'm not a fool, I can tell that I'm probably not the most popular manager Bradford City's ever had.
"I'm not prepared to walk away, I'm prepared to take this difficult job head on."
He continued: "I'm very, very determined to turn it around, and if I'm not successful and people make that decision and the fans then get what they want, that's fine - we all move on."
Successive wins at the turn of the year gave Bradford fans renewed hope that they would mount a promotion push, but subsequent defeats by Barnet, Oxford and Aldershot have led to discontent amongst some sections.

"It's their team," Taylor said. "Bradford City supporters are as passionate as I've ever met - and if they want to help their team then they've got to get behind them.
"I think this football club has been on a slippery slope for the last 10 years, and if they think changing a manager every year is going to get them promotion, then I very much doubt it."
It is almost a year since Taylor took over at Valley Parade hoping to end their three-year stay in League Two.
Earlier this month he rejected the chance to become Alan Pardew's assistant at Newcastle and is now focusing on Saturday's visit of Burton Albion.
"My daughter wants to come to the game on Saturday," Taylor added. "I said 'you'd better bring some earmuffs, and not just because of the cold'.
"I can understand and handle that, and in a crazy way it makes me more determined - I'm ready to fight it head on.
The play-offs under Taylor are already out of reach but I still think there is just about enough quality to keep us above the trapdoor

"The reason I stayed here in the summer is because all I kept looking at was the ground and the fans.
"You think 'blimey, if we could turn this around, this could be another Hull City', and that still is the plan.
"But long term, if anybody thinks it's got to be a different manager every year, I'm not sure that's healthy."
