Law said: "Our senior players let us down today because you can't defend the way we did against a side of Forest's quality and expect to get away with it.
"We had a 15-minute spell of madness in the first half and it cost us dearly because there was not really a way back from that.
"At times we defended like schoolboys and you would be disappointed to concede the kind of goals we did if you were playing on a Sunday morning.
"But we scraped a bit of pride back in the second half and if I am looking for positives, I could not have been more pleased than I was with Simon Francis. He's only 17 and coming in for his first game but he was superb."
