Bradford will be without striker James Hanson and winger Omar Daley (both hamstring) and midfielder Michael Flynn who is struggling with a rib injury.
Winger Ryan Harrison made his debut on Monday and looks set to feature again.
Burton assistant manager Gary Rowett told BBC Radio Derby: "We don't want the season to fizzle out and we need to get back on track [after just one win in six games].
"There's no doubt about it, we have been too easy to score against and we need to defend better as a team.
"As a first year as a manager and a coach it's been a great one, as we've seen it warts n' all."
Bradford City caretaker manager Peter Taylor told BBC Radio Leeds: "As far as I'm concerned I intend to be here next season and it's up to them to think that as well, because even if for some reason I wasn't here, then I would still be wanting to see six very good performances in the next six matches.
"Hopefully it means I am here and they're not going to do themselves any harm by playing exceptionally well in front of me for the next six matches.
"Whoever plays for Bradford - whether it's youth, reserve or first team - they've got six matches to prove they deserve to be at Bradford next year and more importantly they're good enough to be there."
