Bradford could hand a first league start to striker Jake Speight, who impressed after coming off the bench against Southend last weekend.Defender Lewis Hunt should start but midfielder Michael Flynn (hernia) and defender Simon Ramsden (calf) miss out.

Port Vale's Gareth Owen is fit despite being taken off with a head injury in last week's game at home to Torquay.

Ritchie Sutton is available after completing a six-game ban imposed while he was still a Nantwich player.

Port Vale assistant manager Geoff Horsfield told BBC Radio Stoke: "The expectation (at Bradford) is so high because there will be 10-12,000 there even though they've started poorly.

"Peter Taylor will be getting into them and asking 'can we cause an upset', because that's what it would be.

"If they beat us it will be an upset because we're playing well at the minute and they're struggling."
