Bantams appeal fails

Bradford paid £600 for an FA panel to look at the alleged elbowing incident which resulted in Cadamarteri's sending-off.

However, the FA's compliance department has backed referee Mike Dean's decision to red-card Cadamarteri and he now faces an automatic three-game suspension.

Dean, who also sent off City's Mark Bower and assistant manager Ian Banks during the game, said he was convinced that he had made the correct decision and the FA panel agreed with him despite television replays seeming to show that Burnley's Paul Cook had been felled by the ball rather than the Bradford forward's elbow.
