Versatile Lewis Hunt struck the only goal of the game against Bradford City to push Wycombe Wanderers joint top of League Two.
The 26-year-old, who is more comfortable playing a right-back than centre-half or centre midfield, struck a vital winner with 20 minutes of this top of the table clash to send the Chairboys level with Darlington at the summit.
This was a close fought match, with chances at both ends, although the hosts were pushing for the winner more and more as the game went on.
City perhaps had more of the possession, although it was only marginal, and were always a threat through lively winger Omar Daley.
But the longer the game went on you felt as if Wanderers may just nick the three points instead of just maintaining their unbeaten start to the campaign with a goalless draw.
Wanderers are the only team in the Football League and Premier League to have remained unbeaten this season, although seven draws mean they are still in a fight for top spot.
And for most parts it seemed as if it could be an eighth stalemate, but Hunt pounced in the area to lash home from close range on 70 minutes.
John Mousinho's ball into the box ricocheted around, bouncing off a visiting defender into the path of Hunt for his first goal in a Wycombe shirt.
The Bantams gained more of the possession after the goal, but struggled to create a chance.
