The club are teetering on the brink of relegation after an own-goal by Alan Combe sealed the points for strugglers Derby County who clinched a 3-2 win on Easter Monday.
With only four games to go, City's fate has not been sealed yet. But that may only be a matter of time now they're are 11 points from safety.
After the five-goal thriller, Robson accepted the club were down even though it is still mathematically possible to stay up.
He told the club's website:``The winning goal sums up the little bit of fortune that we have not had since I've been at the club.
``The lads gave 100 % and we deserved to get something out of the game after a terrific fightback in the second half.
``When I first came to Bradford and looked at the squad I thought if I could add a few loan players, then we would have a good chance of staying up. But when we went into administration and we lost the loan players and others as well, the position was totally different. However, the players who were left have given everything and you cannot ask for more than than as a manager.''
